He is your help
When you are in over your head, the question becomes where help comes from. We scan our own resources, our people, our options, and come up short. Scripture points somewhere steadier. Your help comes from God, the Maker of heaven and earth, not from the size of your savings or your circle. That does not mean those things do not matter, it means they are not the foundation. Lift your eyes off the size of the problem for a moment and put them on the size of God, and ask Him plainly for the help you need today.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come? My help cometh from Jehovah, who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2 · ASVThe psalmist looks to the hills, then corrects himself: help does not come from the hills but from Jehovah, who made heaven and earth. The verse pins the source of help to God Himself.
Jehovah is my strength and my shield; my heart hath trusted in him, and I am helped.
Psalm 28:7 · ASVDavid calls God his strength and shield, and says because his heart trusted, he was helped. Trust is the posture, and being helped is what follows.
For I, Jehovah thy God, will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Isaiah 41:13 · ASVGod promises to take Israel by the right hand and say, Fear not, I will help you. The image is of God steadying His people personally, hand in hand.
Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge.
