When God Says Wait Tuesday, June 30, 2026

His timing is good

We tend to assume the right time for an answer is now, and any delay is a problem to be solved. God works on a different clock. He is not late when He waits, He is timing the answer to a fuller picture than you can see, one that includes things not ready yet, in you or around you. There is a fitting moment He is moving toward, and He has never missed one. When the delay tempts you to doubt His care, remember that the same God who promised is the One holding the timing. Ask Him for the patience to trust His clock over your own, and to believe the answer will come when it is right and not a moment too soon.

Through the day
Morning

For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hasteth toward the end, and shall not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come.

Habakkuk 2:3 · ASV

God tells Habakkuk the vision has an appointed time and will not fail, even if it seems to delay. A delay, in this picture, is an appointed time not yet reached rather than a cancellation.

Afternoon

He hath made everything beautiful in its time.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 · ASV

Solomon says God makes each thing beautiful in its proper time. The outcome and its timing are both His to set.

Evening

And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:9 · ASV

Paul urges endurance with a harvest in view, reaped in due time for those who do not give up. The reaping is promised, and so is the waiting before it.

Night

I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.

Isaiah 60:22 · ASV

God says He will hasten it in its time. The verse joins apparent slowness with God's promise to act swiftly at the proper moment.
