Your life is in His hands
On a day set apart for Him, look at what your hands are still gripping, and at what you have managed to release. Maybe you loosened your grip on one thing you swore you could not let go of, and the world did not end. That is the lesson worth keeping. What you hand to God does not fall, it lands in steadier hands than yours. You do not have to keep a white-knuckle grip on your life to keep it safe. Name the one thing you have already taken back, and give it to Him again. Letting go is not a single decision, it is a practice you return to, and you can grow into it over time.
Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
