And my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19 (ASV)
Paul promises that God will supply every need, and that He draws it from His own riches in glory. The word doing the work is "need." God commits to covering what you lack, out of a supply that never runs low.
Paul writes this to a church that had given generously to keep him going, sometimes giving out of their own short supply. The promise lands right on top of that sacrifice, steadying them: you can keep giving, because God will look after you.
So this is God, who owns everything there is, telling you He will meet the needs that are real. You can hand Him your provision and rest, because what He has to give from runs deeper than anything you lack.
