being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6 (ASV)
Paul is sure of one thing: the good work God started in a person, God Himself will carry all the way to completion. The growth and change in your life are work He took on. He began it, and He has bound Himself to seeing it through to the end.
Paul writes this to a church he loved, to lift them up, and he grounds it in God. The reason he gives them to be confident is God's own faithfulness, the kind that follows through on what it starts.
So if you feel like a work in progress, this is good news, because you are one. The One who started the work is the One on the hook to finish it, and He stays with it to the day of Jesus Christ.
